Where we began

Every Loyal Canvas portrait starts with the same thing yours will — a single photo and a story behind it. Maybe it's the dog who's been beside you since college. The cat who chose you. The companion you've already had to say goodbye to. We started Loyal Canvas because those faces deserve more than a phone gallery you scroll past. They deserve a wall.

So we built a studio that does one thing well: we take your photo and craft a gallery-grade portrait of your pet — Renaissance royalty, modern watercolour, bold line, or classic oil — and then we print it beautifully and send it to your door. Not a filter. Not a template with a face dropped in. A considered, hand-finished piece made for your pet and no one else's.

How we're honest about who we are

We think you should know exactly who you're buying from, so here it is plainly: Loyal Canvas is operated from the Netherlands, and our portraits are printed and shipped by our trusted print partners in the United States. That means your order is fulfilled domestically and arrives on US timelines — but our studio itself is across the Atlantic, and we'd rather tell you that than pretend otherwise. We don't keep a fake US storefront address, we don't invent discounts that were never real, and we quote every price in honest US dollars. If we ever can't do something, we'll say so.

Two collections, one whole story

A pet's life has more than one chapter, and so do we.

• The Living Collection — for pride, play, and gifting. The throne they already think they own; the watercolour that catches exactly how soft they are; the line portrait for the minimalist who still melts. These are made to celebrate.
• In Memoriam — for the ones we've lost. A Forever Portrait, with their name and dates if you'd like them. A keepsake ornament. Quiet, gentle pieces that hold a memory gently. We treat this work with the care it asks for.

Many of the people we serve come to us first for a celebration and return, years later, for a tribute. We're honoured to be there for both.

The promise behind every portrait

Because each portrait is made to order from your photo, it's created just for you — which means we put real care into getting it right before anything is printed. You'll see a digital proof within 24–48 hours and you can request revisions until it feels true to your pet. And if a printed piece ever arrives damaged, defective, or lost in transit, we'll reprint or replace it. The art is personal; our standards aren't negotiable.
